Louis Copeland & Sons – SS17

I was commissioned by Louis Copeland & Sons to produce their SS17 campaign’s video. It was filmed in Barcelona, Spain at the Olympic Swimming Pool of Montjuic with the idea to contrast the location with the outfits of the model. The entire video was filmed in one day and the editing took three days, between logging, editing, colour correcting/grading and also export three different versions with different CTAs.

Fabriqué En Chine (2016)

‘Fabriqué en Chine’ (translated ‘Made In China’ in English) is a short documentary introducing Joe Farrugia, one of the two last shoemakers still active in Malta.
Joe has been in the business for over 40 years but he belongs to a generation of makers that are endangered by the worldwide profusion of ‘Made In China’ so he started a passive fight against extreme consumerism.

Gravity by Nike – Spec Ad

I came across an ad featuring Mutaz Barshim that was initially created for Redbull. I kept on seeing the Nike logos everywhere so I decided to edit my own version of it focusing on all the Nike elements. I felt in love with the music as soon as I heard it in a movie, it is AURORA by Khia Victoria. I just thought that both would be the perfect match and I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. Finally, I created a thumbnail that would be the final touch, et voilà!

Retro Running by Le Coq Sportif

I was commissioned by Lavender Media (Australia) to direct and film Garret Doherty, two times world champion, in Dublin. The purpose of this video was to launch a social media campaign to get Retro Running at the Olympics. The whole project was commissioned and supported by Le Coq Sportif Australia. Alongside the video shoot, we have done a photo shoot and one picture of Garret has been published in Running Men UK.

Connected to the Community

As part of Dublin’s Culture Connects, ‘Out of the Box’ is linking Dubliners from across the city with The National Archives of Ireland to support them on a personal research journey. Muirne from Sandymount has always felt a connection to the building on Serpentine Avenue that was once the Ritz Cinema and then the Oscar Theatre, and now houses Guru Nanak Darbar Dublin, the only Sikh Temple in Ireland. She began her career as a dancer with Dublin City Ballet in the very same building.

Entourage – Day One

When Dimitri and Séverine got in touch with me for their newly created company, I knew I wanted to create a video that would get the key messages across while being cinematic. We sat down and created a script based on their mutual story in order to create the final product. It was filmed in 1 day and edited in 4 days.

The Only Barrier Is In Your Mind

Lawson and I collaborated very closely on this project in order to tell a compelling story, visually cinematic. We teamed up to create a video that would reflect Lawson’s passion for fashion on a daily basis, focusing on the reason ‘why’ he is doing what he loves. We sat down, brainstormed and wrote a script for this promotional video. We nailed down the key messages and worked around different themes.

The Outsiders Collective

A promo video that I have directed and edited for ‘The Outsiders Collective’. The idea behind this project was to show the passion that they have for the food they deliver and tell their story to the world. Their story involves other producers, farmers and people around them. We knew we needed to feature them in the final piece. It was filmed over 3 days and edited in 1 week. I decided to go for a full 2.35:1 look so it feels more cinematic.

Once Upon a Time (2016)

‘Once Upon a Time’ is a short documentary I have filmed and edited for a young couple who got married. I wanted to bring the documentary visual approach to their wedding and try different ways of narrating such event. This was filmed over 3 days and edited in 7 days.

The Teddy Bear Picnic – Rathwood

I was commissioned by Collab to edit the footage of an event organised by Rathwood. I have worked on the art direction, the motion titles and all the aspects of the post-production process. The video is targeting an audience that is obviously young but we also wanted to get older people to enjoy it with all the key information about the event being delivered at key moments of the video.

Dublin You Are

The ‘Dublin You Are’ project came about in a collaborative manner between a number of Dublin-based artists, Dublin2020 and the people of Dublin. The video is based around the words of poet Stephen James Smith, which capture the good and the bad of Dublin, the successes and the failures, the community and the divide.

Mr Jenks – We’ve got you covered

Maeve and William from MrJenks.com got in touch to produce a promotional video for their newly created umbrella range. We started the project by nailing down the key information we wanted to get across, we then worked on the wording and the visuals. The main focus is on the products as they are all handcrafted in Italy. The entire video was shot in one day in Dublin and the post-production was made in two days, including editing, colour grading, animated titles creation and export.

The Unofficial Lord Mayor of Ballymun

The first time I met Jamie Harrington, it was in the Dublin2020 office on Eden’s quay. I usually organise a pre-interview meeting in order to create a link with the character I film. In less than 10 minutes, I was convinced that Jamie’s story was interesting and I wanted to tell it the best way I could. We sat down for an audio interview and then I planned the b-rolls. The entire video was filmed and recorded in one day and it was edited in three days. Jamie’s story went viral after the video was released, he went to the BBC to chat about the day he saved the life of a complete stranger.
